Hula Hoop experience in Manchester – Read my verdict!
I was a little apprehensive, as all things physical I am completely adverse to. My friend Charlotte was pushing to go. We hadn’t seen each other in a while and Hoola Hooping seemed like a great opportunity to do so, without going out for ANOTHER meal or cinema trip.
We arrived at the venue and were shown to the room. We were greeted by a sweet girl, Natasha, who handed us our hoops. There were 8 of us in total which was a good number as there was lots of space. Everyone else had come alone, except for another pair of friends. The music was energising and different and helped get us all into the rhythm.
My Hooping Skills were something to be desired but I slowly improved throughout the class. At the beginning I was a bit concerened about how I was going to soend a whole hour just hoola hooping. Fortunately, Natasha (the host) keeps things moving and varied the tasks for us. It was a lot of fun and definitely going to return.
Oh, I forgot to mention my friend Charlotte kept something from me. She astounded the whole class with her Hoola Hooping abilities. I can count the number of times she dropped her hoop on the floor on one hand, oppose to the constant clattering that could be heard from everyone else in the room when the hoop hit the floor. She was once crowned the “Hoola Champion” at a work contest and was awarded a bottle of Disaronno. So go! But don’t be surprised if your friend outdoes you!
