First of all, I would like to say a big thank you to Funzing for offering me the chance to attend an ‘Italian Chocolate Feast’ hosted by Sabrina and Paul. They have the cutest dog named Lucky and he kept me company throughout the event. Being cuddled by a dog and eating chocolate sounds like a dream, right? Here is a photo of me and Lucky! How can I not take a picture with him when he’s just so adorable?
You’re probably wondering what an evening of Italian Chocolate Feasting is really like. Worry not, here I’ll take you step by step;
1. As a welcome drink, we were offered prosecco followed by our first dish, served in the garden. The first dish included Sicilian Pecorino cheese served with spicy dark chocolate from the Arab Sicilian Town of Modica. Yum!
2. Next up was the second dish, this time served in the dining room. We had handmade chocolate tagliatelle (pasta) with blue cheese and walnuts. Whilst we were eating we shared stories about our culture and experiences…. accompanied by wine, certo!
The jam jars you see on the table were created by our host, Sabrina, as our souvenir.
3) The third dish was ‘Duck breast with chocolate fondue, potato puree, and asparagus’.
4) Last but not least, we had the famous Tiramisu with pure chocolate cream.
Dish 2 to 4 were served at the dining room so below I decided to include a picture of the table setting. The table decor made me feel like I was having dinner in Italy!
